We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
