And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
