We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
