And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
