We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
