Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
