And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
