We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
