And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
