Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 What though they would say, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
