Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 we are the rangers, 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

Notes and Instructions

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
