Hizb 46
< random >
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 What though they would say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
