Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 What though they would say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
