S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Saad* – By oath of the renowned Qur’an, (Alphabet of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 But nay - they who are bent on denying the truth are lost in [false] pride, and [hence] deeply in the wrong. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they called, but time was none to escape. 3 They are surprised that a warner should come to them from among themselves. They say, "This is a magician, a great liar. 4 "Has he made the aliha (gods) (all) into One Ilah (God - Allah). Verily, this is a curious thing!" 5 The chiefs among them departed saying: go, and persevere in your gods; verily this is a thing designed. 6 We never heard of this in the former religion. It is nothing but an invention. 7 To him of all of us has the Reminder been sent down?" They are still in doubt about My admonition; but they have not tasted My punishment yet! 8 Or do they hold the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Have they control over heavens and earth and whatever [lies] between them? Then let them climb up to heaven by ropes: 10 A defeated host are (all) the factions that are there. 11 Even before them the people of Noah, 'Ad, the mighty Pharoah, 12 And the Thamud, the people of Lot, as well as the dwellers of the Wood, had denied. These were the hordes. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
