S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition. 1 No, the unbelievers exalt in their division. 2 How many generations We have destroyed before them! And they cried out when it was too late to escape. 3 So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies! 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And the Council of them depart, saying 'Go! Be steadfast to your gods; this is a thing to be desired. 6 "We have not heard (the like) of this among the people of these later days. This is nothing but an invention! 7 What, has the Remembrance been sent down on him out of us all?' Nay, but they are in doubt of My Remembrance; nay, they have not yet tasted My chastisement. 8 Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower? 9 Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any 10 Here there is a host of the confederates only to be defeated. 11 Before them (were many who) belied Messengers, the people of Nuh (Noah); and 'Ad; and Fir'aun (Pharaoh) the man of stakes (with which he used to punish the people), 12 And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties. 13 Not one of them but belied the Messengers, therefore My Torment was justified, 14
