S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder... 1 In fact, the disbelievers are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before their time [for this very sin]! And [how] they called [unto Us] when it was too late to escape! 3 They are surprised that a warner should come to them from among themselves. They say, "This is a magician, a great liar. 4 Has he made the gods [only] one God? Indeed, this is a curious thing." 5 And the Council of them depart, saying 'Go! Be steadfast to your gods; this is a thing to be desired. 6 "We have not heard (the like) of this among the people of these later days. This is nothing but an invention! 7 To him of all of us has the Reminder been sent down?" They are still in doubt about My admonition; but they have not tasted My punishment yet! 8 Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 Here there is a host of the confederates only to be defeated. 11 The people of Noah, Ad and the dominating Pharaoh had rejected Our revelations. 12 So also did the people of Thamud, Lot, and the dwellers of the Forest. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
