S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Sad. By the Koran, containing the Remembrance -- 1 But nay - they who are bent on denying the truth are lost in [false] pride, and [hence] deeply in the wrong. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape. 3 Now they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 Maketh he the gods One God? Verily that is a thing astounding! 5 And their leaders went about, “Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!” 6 We heard not thereof in the later faith; this is naught but an invention. 7 What, has the Remembrance been sent down on him out of us all?' Nay, but they are in doubt of My Remembrance; nay, they have not yet tasted My chastisement. 8 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord, the Most Mighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah, and Ad, and Pharaoh, he of the tent-pegs, 12 Thamood, the nation of Lot and the dwellers of the Thicket such were the confederates. 13 Each of them gave the lie to Messengers and My decree of chastisement came upon them. 14
