Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 We gave him back his family and doubled their number as a blessing from Us and as a reminder to the people of understanding. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
