And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 We distinguished them for the distinct remembrance of the abode (of the Hereafter). 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is an advice; and indeed for the pious is an excellent abode. 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ With companions of modest look, the same in age, by their side. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
