(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
