Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: "That (this Quran) is a great news, 67 from which you turn away. 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner." 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all. 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
