(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say, "It is great news 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner." 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state] - for, behold, thou art henceforth accursed, 77 and My curse shall remain upon you till the Day of Resurrection.” 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 for an appointed time". 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
