(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
