So is one whose breast Allah has expanded to [accept] Islam and he is upon a light from his Lord [like one whose heart rejects it]? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah. Those are in manifest error. 22 God has sent down the best Message: a Scripture that is consimilar and oft-repeated: that causes the skins of those in awe of their Lord to creep. Then their skins and their hearts soften at the mention of God: such is God's guidance. He bestows it upon whoever He will; but no one can guide those whom God leaves to stray. 23 Is he then, who will strike his face against the awful doom upon the Day of Resurrection (as he who doeth right)? And it will be said unto the wrong-doers: Taste what ye used to earn. 24 Those before them had denied, therefore the punishment came to them from a place they did not know. 25 Then God made them taste of disgrace in this life; and the torment of the life to come is greater, if they understand. 26 We have given examples of every kind for men in this Qur'an so that they may contemplate: 27 as a discourse in the Arabic tongue, free of all deviousness, so that they might become conscious of God. 28 Allah sets forth an example: There is a slave in whom are (several) partners differing with one another, and there is another slave wholly owned by one man. Are the two alike in condition? (All) praise is due to Allah. Nay! most of them do not know. 29 (O Prophet), you are destined to die and they too are destined to die. 30 Then on the Day of Resurrection you will dispute before your Lord. 31
