Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted? 69 Those who deny the Scripture and that wherewith We send Our messengers. But they will come to know, 70 When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged 71 Through boiling water, and then burnt in the Fire. 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 They will say, "They have been lost to us; nay, we did not invoke anything before [that had real existence]." Thus God leaves the deniers of the truth to stray; 74 (And it is said unto them): This is because ye exulted in the earth without right, and because ye were petulant. 75 Enter Hell now to abide in it. How woeful is the abode of those who wax proud! 76 So persevere in patience; for the Promise of Allah is true: and whether We show thee (in this life) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (before that),-(in any case) it is to Us that they shall (all) return. 77 And certainly We sent apostles before you: there are some of them that We have mentioned to you and there are others whom We have not mentioned to you, and it was not meet for an apostle that he should bring a sign except with Allah's permission, but when the command of Allah came, judgment was given with truth, and those who treated (it) as a lie were lost. 78
