It is Allah who made for you the grazing animals upon which you ride, and some of them you eat. 79 There are advantages for you in them, so that you may satisfy your needs through them, and may be borne upon them and on ships. 80 And He shows you His signs; so which sign of Allah will you deny? 81 Have they not travelled in the earth so that they may behold what wise hath been the end of those before them. They were more numerous than these, and mightier in strength and the traces in the land. But naught availed them of that which they had been earning. 82 And when their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they [merely] rejoiced in what they had of knowledge, but they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule. 83 But when they saw Our punishment, they said: We believe in Allah alone and we deny what we used to associate with Him. 84 But their faith could not avail them when they saw Our doom. This is Allah's law which hath ever taken course for His bondmen. And then the disbelievers will be ruined. 85
