Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim: 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur'an for a people who know, 3 A bearer of glad tidings and a warner. Yet most of them turn aside, so that they hearken not. 4 They say: “Our hearts are securely wrapped up against what you call us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between you and us there is a veil. So act; we too are acting.” 5 (Muhammad), say, "I am a mere mortal like you. I have received a revelation that your Lord is the only One. So be up-right and obedient to Him and seek forgiveness from Him. Woe to the pagans, 6 who do not pay charity and disbelieve in the Everlasting Life. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
