۞ When [Jesus] the son of Mary is held up as an example, your people raise an outcry on this, 57 And say: Are our gods better, or is he? They raise not the objection save for argument. Nay! but they are a contentious folk. 58 He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favour, and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel. 59 if We had so wished, We could have appointed angels in exchange for you to succeed you on the earth. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 And let not Satan turn you aside.
