And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth: 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
