We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 Even then they say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
