Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf; by oath of the Glorious Qur’an. 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
