Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf; by oath of the Glorious Qur’an. 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 to come back to life after we have died and become dust? That is most improbable!" 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 And We send down from the skies water rich in blessings, and cause thereby gardens to grow, and fields of grain, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
