And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me." 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His satanic companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself went astray". 27 (It was said): “Do not remonstrate in My presence. I had warned you. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
