And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 who hinders good, exceeds the limits, is immersed in doubts, 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
