Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
