Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and the smooth runners 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
