Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
