Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
