Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and the smooth runners 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
