Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
