Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
