Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
