Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? 24 When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. 25 Then he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf, 26 He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” 27 And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” 29 They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' 30 ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! 31 They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. 34 So We brought forth such believers as were in it, 35 But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: 36 And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, 38 but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 39 So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. 40 And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. 44 They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. 45 Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. 46
