With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide! 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 Flee therefore unto Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 50 Do not choose other gods besides Him. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you". 51 Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." 52 Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk. 53 So turn away thou from them, not thou art blameworthy. 54 But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Indeed it is Allah, Who is the Greatest Sustainer, the Strong, the Able. 58 The wrongdoers will meet the same fate as their predecessors, let them not ask Me to hasten on [the punishment], 59 And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised. 60
