The Mountain (Al-Toor)
49 verses, revealed in Mecca after Prostration (Al-Sajdah) before Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Mount, 1 and by the Scripture penned 2 in an exposed parchment 3 And by oath of the Inhabited House. 4 by the elevated canopy; 5 By the sea overflowing. 6 The punishment of your Lord is certain to come. 7 there is none who could avert it. 8 [It will come to pass] on the Day when the skies will be convulsed in [a great] convulsion, 9 And the mountains will move away with a (horrible) movement. 10 So on that day, ruin is for those who deny. 11 Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves. 12 On the Day whereon they will be pushed into Hell-Fire with a dreadful push. 13 (And it is said unto them): This is the Fire which ye were wont to deny. 14 "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see? 15 Endure the heat thereof, and whether ye are patient of it or impatient of it is all one for you. Ye are only being paid for what ye used to do. 16 But in the Gardens the righteous shall live in bliss, 17 talking of what they have received from their Lord and of how their Lord has saved them from the torment of hell. 18 (They will be told): “Eat and drink to your hearts' content as a reward for your deeds.” 19 reclining on couches [of happiness] ranged in rows!" And [in that paradise] We shall mate them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 20 And as for those who have attained to faith and whose offspring will have followed them in faith, We shall unite them with their offspring; and We shall not let aught of their deeds go to waste: [but] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever he has earned. 21 And We provide them with fruit and meat such as they desire. 22 There they pass from hand to hand a cup wherein is neither vanity nor cause of sin. 23 ۞ And young attendants like pearls within their shells, will go round. 24 They will turn to one another ask questions, 25 They will say: "Behold, aforetime - when we were [still living] in the midst of our kith and kin - we were full of fear [at the thought of God's displeasure]: 26 But God has granted us favors and saved us from the scorching heat of the torment. 27 Lo! we used to pray unto Him of old. Lo! He is the Benign, the Merciful. 28

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
