Have you seen the one who turned away 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
