(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 so that they may understand me. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon].
