Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
