Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
