HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
